1. Learn as much as you can about mold making and casting before you buy a mold rubber, casting plastic, foam, etc. for your project.  Where do you find this kind of information?

B.  Smooth-On offers an inexpensive ($3.00) mold making and casting manual that will give you the basics. 

C.  You can also view one of our Mold Making Videos. 

D.  Attend a Smooth-On Mold Making Seminar. . . But reserve your spot early. These seminars are sold out months in advance.

 
2.  Read the Technical Bulletin for the product you are considering before you buy.

You’d be amazed at how many people “guess” and end up buying a product without really knowing if the product is right for their application.  Technical bulletins have a lot of information to help you determine whether or not a product is right for your application.
