Platinum-Cure Silicone Rubber

Ecoflex® GEL
 Ecoflex® GEL
Ecoflex® GEL
Technical Bulletin
MSDS
Ecoflex® GEL is an extremely soft, platinum silicone rubber gel specifically designed for creating silicone makeup appliances, for cushioning, creating gaskets, encapsulation, and other applications requiring a very soft silicone material.

Ecoflex® GEL
has a Shore hardness of 000-35, this is below the Shore 00 hardness scale. Because Ecoflex® GEL is so soft, it works very well as a silicone gel for filling encapsulated silicone makeup appliances and prosthetics. An infinite number of color effects can be achieved by adding Silc Pig® silicone pigments.

As Ecoflex GEL is very tacky when cured, in some situations, it is recommended that Ecoflex® GEL be encapsulated with another non-tacky platinum silicone such as Dragon Skin FX Pro, or another suitable membrane. Ecoflex® GEL is mixed 1A:1B by weight or volume. Rubber cures at room temperature (73°F / 23°C) with negligible shrinkage.

It features a relatively low viscosity and vacuum degassing is not required for most applications. Pot life is 6 minutes and cure time is 30 minutes at room temperature.

Mold Star® 20T cures in to a soft, strong rubber that is tear resistant and exhibits very low long term shrinkage. Molds made with Mold Star® will last a long time in your mold library and are good for casting wax, gypsum, resins, concrete and other materials. Mold Star® 20T silicone can be thickened with Thi-Vex® thickener for brush-on application and effects.

An infinite number of color effects can be achieved by adding Silc Pig® silicone pigments or Cast Magic® effects powders.

Mold Star® 20T is heat resistant up to 450°F (232°C) and is suitable for casting low-temperature melt metal alloys.

Note: This product will not cure against surfaces containing sulfur, even when sealed.

3030 Slide® Platinum Silicone
 3030 Slide® Platinum Silicone
3030 Slide® Platinum Silicone
Technical Bulletin
MSDS
3030 Slide® is a platinum cure silicone rubber that offers greatly reduced surface tension. Cured silicone slides across itself and different surfaces. Mix ratio is 1:1 by weight or volume. Pot life is 45 minutes and cures in about 16 hours to Shore 00-30. Silicone surface must be exposed to air for 24 hours to bring out slide effect. Cured rubber is very soft, very strong and very "stretchy", stretching many times its original size without tearing and will rebound to its original form without distortion.

3030 Slide® silicone is water white translucent and can be color pigmented with Silc Pig® pigments for creating a variety of color effects. You can also add Smooth-On's Silicone Thinner® to further lower the viscosity.

Due to its ultra-low surface tension, 3030 Slide® is ideal for creating silicone masks, etc. The surface of 3030 Slide® is very low friction, allowing for ease of motion when cast silicone pieces need to glide over surfaces such as skin.

Warning - Allergen; people who are allergic to durian, tree nuts and tree nut derivatives or musk thistle seed should avoid contact with this product.
