Water Clear Translucent Silicone Rubber

SORTA-Clear™ Series

SORTA-Clear Series rubbers are near-clear translucent silicone rubbers (platinum catalyst) which cure at room temperature with negligible shrinkage and feature high tensile and tear strength. These silicones are often used to make one-piece cut block molds where the original model is extracted by cutting. A variety of materials (such as wax, gypsum, resins, etc.) can be cast into molds made with Sorta-Clear™ silicones.

SORTA-Clear 18, SORTA-Clear 37 and SORTA-Clear 40 are certified food safe and can be used for culinary applications including casting chocolate and other confections.

SORTA-Clear 18 is certified skin safe and can be used to create medical devices, prosthetics and other skin-contact appliances.
