| Cast Magic® Powders - Create Amazing Casting Effects |
Cast Magic® Powders - Create Amazing Casting Effects

 |
The Cast Magic® Casting System is a new and easy way to add an endless variety of bright metallic, glitter & color effects to finished castings. Cast Magic® is also good for reproducing sculpture and adding different cast effects to models and prototypes. With the Cast Magic® System, you can create spectacular casting effects in a matter of minutes vs. hours or days for hand tooling and finishing. Finished castings are strong and durable. They are also UV and weather resistant. Ideal for making signs, displays, special effects, and other casting applications.
There are 3 variables that make up the Cast Magic® System. The first variable is the Cast Magic® line of casting powders. There are 10 casting powders to choose from and it is these powders that give you the final casting affect. The second variable is Smooth-On's SO-Strong line of color tints. The third variable is the Smooth-On casting resin that you choose to create a specific look; solid, translucent or clear. By mixing and matching these three variables, over 500 different casting effects are possible. Click Here To See Cast Magic® Finish Options |

| Cryptolyte® UV Glow Additive for Urethanes and Silicones |
Cryptolyte® UV Glow Additive for Urethanes and Silicones

 |
Cryptolyte® is a translucent liquid additive that causes cured Smooth-On silicone rubbers, urethane rubbers, plastics or foams to glow a bright blue under a focused ultra violet light source (blacklight). You will not see the glow effect without an UV light source. When mixed at low percentages it will not affect clarity or color of material. For example, Cryptolyte® can be added to Crystal Clear® water clear resins and the glow effect will not be evident until the casting is illuminated by a UV light source. Important: Best “glow” effect is realized when Cryptolyte® is added to clear (i.e. Sorta Clear silicone or Clear Flex urethane rubber) or translucent materials (i.e. Smooth-Cast 325 resin). Applications include special effects, Halloween mask and prop making, theme displays and security (you can make parts that are virtually undetectable in normal light but glow under UV black lighting).
Warning: This product is flammable. Exercise extreme caution and follow safety protocol for handling flammable liquids. Refer to MSDS for further safety information. |

| Ignite® Fluorescent Color Pigments |
 Ignite® Fluorescent Color Pigments

 |
The Ignite® line of liquid fluorescent colorants is compatible with Smooth-On urethane rubbers, urethane plastics, urethane foams (rigid and flexible) and silicones. The fluorescent or "glow" effect is maximized under ultra-violet light or "black light." The most dramatic color effect is realized when an Ignite colorant is used with a clear or translucent urethane rubber (such as Clear Flex 50) or plastic (such as Smooth-Cast 325). The NEW Ignite® 9 pack gives you the opportunity to experience each color without spending a lot of money.
What Makes Castings Made With Ignite® Pigments Appear To Glow? When you add Ignite fluorescent color to a urethane material, more ultraviolet light from the cured material is visible to your eye vs. castings made with SO Strong® colorants. The casting appears brighter in ambient light and appears to glow under ultraviolet light.

| Metal Powders - For Real Metal Cold Castings |
Metal Powders - For Real Metal Cold Castings
|
"Cold-Casting" is a term used to describe the process of mixing metal powder with a resin and applying the mixture into a mold. The finished casting gives the appearance and weight of solid metal. The metal cold-cast process is faster and much less expensive when compared with foundry casting of molten metal. To make a metal cold-casting, metal powder is mixed into Colormatch® resin until the mixture is thick and creamy. The mixture is then "slush-cast" or brushed onto the mold surface until the resin cures. The gel coat is then back-filled with straight resin, resin mixed with metal powder, resin mixed with lead shot or Foam-iT! rigid foam. Smooth-On offers metal powders that can be added to our liquid plastics to create cold cast metal castings.
Powders include bronze, brass, copper, aluminum and nickel/silver (for a pewter-like effect).

| SO-Cure® Cure Accelerator |
 SO-Cure® Cure Accelerator

 |
SO-CURE® Cure Accelerator is an additive designed to "accelerate" the cure time of some Smooth-On urethane liquid plastic products without significantly affecting ultimate physical properties. This allows for much faster Demolding of a part or casting from a mold. The accelerator is added to Part B by weight and should be thoroughly mixed with Part B before adding Part A.
Important: Adding the accelerator drastically reduces the Pot Life (time you have to mix and pour material) of the liquid plastic product

| SO-Strong® Color Tints For Urethane Rubber, Plastic, and Foam |
SO-Strong® Color Tints For Urethane Rubber, Plastic, and Foam

 |
SO-Strong® liquid urethane colorants can be added to any Smooth-On liquid urethane rubber, urethane plastic or urethane foam (do not use with Smooth-On silicones). They can be used to create a variety of color effects for a wide range of material applications. For glowing fluorescent color effects, use Ignite colorants.
The NEW SO-Strong® 9 pack gives you the opportunity to experience each color without spending a lot of money.
SO-Strong® colorants are highly concentrated, offer excellent dispersion and consistent color. A very small amount will color a proportionally large amount of liquid urethane material. The more you add in proportion to the volume of liquid urethane, the more dramatic the color effect. Recommended loading range is .01% to 3% of total system weight. Do not overload the liquid urethane system or cure inhibition / oozing may occur. If this is your first time adding color to a urethane system, it is recommended that you test the color effect by adding a few drops to a small amount of material and observe the outcome. |

| URE-FIL® Fillers |
 URE-FIL® Fillers

|
URE-FIL® Fillers are easily dispersed in most Smooth-On resins and rubbers to attain different finishes, properties and effects. Filler can act as an extender - lowering the cost of each casting, can provide casting effects, or can thicken a material, depending on formulation.
URE-FIL® 3 is a ceramic filler that is speckled grey in color and will give plastic castings a ceramic or porcelain-like finish.
URE-FIL® 5 is a lightweight 'pecan flour' style filler that is your best choice for achieving a wood effect in casting plastics.
URE-FIL® 7 provides dimensional stability, economy & improved flame resistance to liquid plastics.
URE-FIL® 9 is a fumed-silica based thickening agent primarily used with liquid urethane rubbers.
URE-FIL® 11 is a fiber-based filler that can be added to Smooth-On urethane and silicone rubbers, urethane plastics and epoxies to thicken for brush-on applications.
URE-FIL® 15 micro-balloons that can be added to Smooth-On urethane plastics and epoxies to create very light weight castings.

| Sun Devil® - UV Resistant Additive |
Sun Devil® - UV Resistant Additive

 |
A one component liquid additive that will slow color change and physical degradation due to UV exposure for many Smooth-On liquid urethane products. Results will vary and will depend on intensity and duration of exposure to UV light to the cured material. Please read the Technical Bulletin for more information. Safety first! consult the product MSDS.
