New Quarry Tone® granite powders give Smooth-On liquid plastics (and some liquid rubbers) a very realistic granite look. Quarry Tone® powders are available in different colors and particle sizes. You can add Quarry Tone® powder in various proportions depending on the finished granite look you are trying to achieve.

Quarry Tone® powders can also be added to translucent or clear silicone rubbers such as Dragon Skin® or EcoFlex® Series for granite-like props that are soft and flexible. Quarry Tone® powders can also be blended to create additional finished effects. There are 10 granite effects powders to choose from, each with its own particle size and color.

How Do You Use Quarry Tone®?

Quarry Tone® powders work best with a fast-curing translucent resin such as Smooth-Cast ® 325. We have determined that a good starting mix ratio with Smooth-Cast® 325 resin is; 1 Part A: 1 Part B: 2 Parts Granite Powder.  Pre-mix the powder filler with Part B of the liquid system before adding Part A. Mix and pour.

1. Measure & mix Smooth-Cast® 325 and Quarry Tone® powder.	2. After thoroughly combined, pour mixture into mold.	3. Casting reflects great detail and captures the look of granite.
