Flame Out® is a low viscosity, fast set casting resin that meets UL 94 V-O requirements for flame resistance. It does not contain mercury, TDI or MOCA. Mix ratio is 1A:1B by volume. Pot life is 2.5 min. and demold time is 10 min. at 73°F / 23°C (depending on mass).
Fully cured Flame Out® material is tough, durable, machinable and paintable. It resists moisture and mild solvents. Vibrant colors and color effects are possible by adding SO-Strong® color tints. Applications for Flame Out® include making flame resistant prototype and architectural models, model toys, theme park and stage elements, durable miniatures and special effect props. Material can also be used for potting and encapsulation applications.

1 - The mold is properly prepared and leveled prior to measuring material.
2 - TASK® 7 Flame Out® is a two-component urethane resin that is mixed 1A:1B by volume.
3 - Part A is dispensed.
4 - An equal volume of Part B is dispensed.
5 - TASK® 7 Flame Out® is mixed 1A:1B by volume.
6 - Part A is poured into a mixing container.
7 - Part B is added to the mixing container.
8 - Parts A and B are thoroughly mixed. Care is taken to scrape the sides and bottom of the container while mixing. TASK® 7 Flame Out® has a pot life of 2.5 minutes.
9 - TASK® 7 Flame Out® is poured into the prepared mold.
10 - Allow TASK® 7 Flame Out® to cure. Cure time is 10 minutes at 73° F / 23°C
11 - The cured casting is slowly peeled away from the mold.
12 - The cured TASK® 7 Flame Out® casting.
13 - The casting reflects perfect detail from the mold.
14 - TASK® 7 Flame Out® meets UL 94 V-O requirements for flame resistance.
15 - TASK® 7 Flame Out® self extinguishes once the ignition source is removed.
