Encapso® K water clear encapsulation rubber is so easy to use, you can bring any encapsulation or display idea to life quickly. Using Encapso® K rubber, we will demonstrate how easy it is to create a seascape display using a few pieces of coral and seahorses found at your local pet store.
You will need the following items; Encapso® K rubber, glue gun and glue sticks, measuring containers, mixing containers, mixing sticks, stirring sticks, disposable gloves, large display bowl (purchased at Wal-Mart), dried seahorses, glass beads (purchased at a hobby store).
1 - Step 1 - Assemble all necessary materials before you begin.
2 - Step 2 - Visualize in advance how you want to arrange and construct your seascape elements.
3 - Step 3 - A cup of glass beads is poured into the glass bowl to
create a foundation.
4 - Step 4 - The glue gun is used to bond pieces of coral together.
5 - Step 5 - Bonded coral pieces are then carefully placed in the display bowl.
6 - Step 6 - Hot melt glue is then applied to seahorse models.
7 - Step 7 - Seahorses are carefully positioned and placed at points along the coral.
8 - Step 8 - A mark is made on a deli cup to aid in measuring our Encapso® K liquid components.
9 - Step 9 - Encapso® K Part A container is shaken to pre-mix liquid. (Do not pre-mix Part B).
10 - Step 10 - Part A is dispensed 1 +1/3 container and emptied into a larger mixing container
11 - Step 11 - An equal amount of Part B is dispensed into the larger mixing container.
12 - Step 12 - Part A and Part B are mixed for 5 minutes. Scrape the sides and bottom of container
13 - Step 13 - The Encapso® K
mixture is poured slowly around display elements, with care being taken not to dislodge any of the bonded seahorses.
14 - Once rubber has cured, the display can be enjoyed for a long time, given as a gift or sold for profit.
