Grandmother’s Doll collection gives birth to amazing silicone babies.

Like many young girls, award winning doll maker Tasha Edenholm was enchanted by her Grandmother’s doll collection. She was so taken in fact, that it wasn’t long before Tasha had a growing collection of her own. Collecting however soon lost its appeal. “I always wanted to create my own dolls,” she said, “and I’ve always had a passion for infants.” Since then, her greatest love as been sculpting newborn babies. “I am always striving to learn and develop new techniques so that I can make each and every baby as realistic and unique as possible.”

Tasha does not work from pictures, but instead sculpts each piece from a vivid picture that she has created in her mind. Once the clay sculpture is finished, she makes the molds and casts the babies with Dragon Skin® silicone. Then skillfully hand paints each detail, using Psycho Paint® pigmented with Silc Pig® silicone pigments, Tasha makes them come to life. All of her babies are completely hand made and "One-Of-A-Kind". The original heads and bodies are sculpted from flesh colored clay.	Dragon Skin® is used to made a mold of the clay head.	Dragon Skin® reproduces the finest details. Its ability to stretch many times its original size and high tear strength makes it the perfect mold rubber for this application.
Dragon Skin® is pigmented and used to cast the head.	Maylee is made with Dragon Skin® Silicone and Silc Pig® Silicone Pigment.	Details are hand painted with Psycho Paint® pigmented with Sic Pig® silicone pigments.
Maylee's feet show incredible detail, even the veins are visible.	Another example of Tasha's incredible work with Dragon Skin®. This baby is called the Yawner.	The Yawner with both eyes open is skillfully made with Dragon Skin® and Psycho Paint®.
