1 - Choose the desired hand shape.

2 - The posed hand is slowly immerse into the Alja-Safe® gel and held there for 8 to 10 minutes until the gel has set.

3 - Once the gel has set, the fingers are gently wiggled and the hand is slowly removed from the mold.

4 - The plaster and water are mixed until creamy, then poured into the Alja-Safe® mold.

5 - The plaster is allowed to cure for a minimum of 3 hours before removing the Alja-Safe® mold.

6 - Once the plaster casting has dried overnight, use a pencil to outline the design.

7 - Acrylic paints are used to create a parrot.

8 - Look twice to see that this parrot is actually a hand.
