The Industrial Side Of Crystal Clear® - Before discovering Crystal Clear® 221, Sculpture Fabrication, Inc. was using acrylic blocks to CNC router shapes and designs for art and industrial projects. The problems with using acrylic: 1) If the router speed is too high, the acrylic will melt, 2) If the router speed is too low, the acrylic will chip and is prone to stress fractures and 3) buying acrylic blocks costs more than double the price of casting Crystal Clear® 221 into Mold Max® 30 rubber molds. Each block measures 3’ x 2’ x 3” thick (1m x 0.6m x 7.6 cm).
