Preserving a dehydrated Tarantula is fast and easy with Encapso® K silicone encapsulation rubber. When cured, EncapsoŽ K looks just like water and will last a long time. This Non-Hazardous – 2 part silicone rubber is easy to use, UV resistant and cures without generating any dangerous heat or fumes.
1 - A clear container slightly larger than the dehydrated Tarantula is made with acyclic tube and base.
2 - The Tarantula is placed and centered in the container.
3 - Equal amounts of Part A and Part B, are measured by volume.
4 - Combine EncapsoŽ K Parts A and B in a container and mix thoroughly.
5 - Since the Tarantula will float, a small about of EncapsoŽ K is poured into the container covering ˝ of the legs and the lower section of the body only.
6 - Allowed EncapsoŽ K to cure to a 'gel' state, approximately 1.5 hours before continuing.
7 - Measure and mix a second batch of material. Slowly pour to the lowest point of the container. Allow the liquid to flow around the Tarantula covering the highest point by ˝ inch.
8 - Any residual bubbles on the surface will dissipate. Allow the EncapsoŽK to cure overnight.
9 - When cured, the water clear EncapsoŽ K allows viewer to see every aspect of the Tarantula.
