Roxanne Mariniello is a sculptor, mold maker and metalsmith from
Buffalo, New York. She graduated from Buffalo State College with
her Bachelor of Science in Metals with a concentration in ceramics
1996. She came to the HudsonValley to attend the SUNY New Paltz,
Master of Fine Arts in Sculpture program with a concentration in
metalsmithing and graduated in 2000. Until starting her own
business in July, 2006, Roxanne worked on various projects for
world renown artists such as Eric Fischl, Roy Lichtenstien, Stanley
Bleifeld and Tom Otterness. Roxanne created molds and
enlargements and did restorations, finishing and waxwork for
Polich-Tallix Art Works (a world-renowned art foundry in Rock
Tavern, New York). She has also done work for the Yale Peabody
Museum of Natural History in New HavenConnecticut, The
SmithsonianDiscoveryCenter in Miami and was part of the creation
of the up and coming Battery Park Carousel prototype in New York
City. For two years Roxanne has also taught sculpture classes at the
Newburgh Performing ArtsAcademy. Her shows included a figural
piece for the Newburgh, NY Sculpture Project in July 2006. Roxanne
has also created molds for the French couturier Paul Poiret display
at the Metropolitan Museum of Arts and the theatrical show Blue
Man Group. Her most recent projects are of large over life sized
molds made for Louise Bourgeois, Peter Coffin and Linda Benglis
made at the Modern Art Foundry in Astoria Queens New York.
