
The original Finishing Slick pattern was machined from wood and imperfections smoothed over with polyester resin.

Sonite Wax is used as a release agent prior to the application of Brush-On® 40 Urethane Rubber. Several layers are required to achieve the 3/8 inch minimum mold thickness.

The completed bottom half of the mold is turned over and release agent is applied. The mold maker included a space holder to form a pour hole and mold keys along the sides to align the top and bottom.

Brush-On® 40 is applied to the top of the pattern to form side 2 of the mold.

A multi-piece Plasti-Paste support shell holds the Brush-On® 40 Urethane mold rubber is place during casting.

Vytaflex® 50 and Black So-Strong® Tint is used to cast the Finishing Slick prototype.
