Dragon Skin® 30 is a high performance platinum cure silicone rubber that is easy to use and versatile. Mix ratio is 1A:1B by weight or volume, pot life is 45 minutes and cure time is 16 hours at room temperature. Rubber cures with negligible shrinkage to a Shore 30A. Vacuum degassing is recommended. Color is water white translucent. Dragon Skin® 30 is compatible with other Dragon Skin® rubbers and is suitable for special effects, prosthetic and other applications. Color can be added with Silc Pig® color pigments. This rubber can be thickened with Thi-Vex® thickening agent or thinned down with Silicone Thinner®. Dragon Skin® 30 is also suitable for making molds of any configuration for casting plasters, concrete, wax, low-melt temperature melt metal alloys, resins and other platinum silicones (release agent required).
1 - Dragon Skin 30 is mixed 1A:1B by volume. Silc-Pig® flesh tone is added and mixed.
2 - Dragon Skin 30 is mixed 1A:1B by volume. Silc-Pig® flesh tone is added and mixed.
3 - Rubber is vacuumed and poured into the Alja-Safe® mold. Rubber is allowed to cure overnight.
4 - Next day, casting is demolded and reflects perfect detail.
5 - Dragon Skin 30 rubber is stiff enough to stand on its own.
6 - 30A rubber is stiff enough to grip a telephone for exhibition.
