Applying the First Coating of Mold Rubber

[BACK TO MENU]

       • The first of the four layers you will be applying,
"the detail coat," is the most important.

       • Apply the detail coat thinly to prevent bubbles
           from forming.

       • Applying too much rubber on the first layer will
entrap air and cause the rubber to run off.

       • Use short, dabbing strokes for the detail coat.
