Shooter Simulation Enhanced With Smooth-On Materials

St. Luke's University Health Network Simulation Center in Pennsylvania held an active shooter simulation event in conjunction with the local Fountain Hill Police. In order to optimize the learning experience, the simulation needed to be as real as possible. St. Luke's personnel reached out to Smooth-On to assist in providing realistic moulage wounds. To enhance the triage experience, wounds and skin effects had to be convincing. Skin Tite™ silicone and Ultimate Blood™ were used to create a variety of wounds in minutes. Everyone involved in the training exercise considered it a huge success, and are planning future simulations.
