Thinking of Calling Our Technical Help Line for Assistance?

Before calling our Technical Help Line, visit www.smooth-on.com

Why Should I Visit Your Website First?

1. Our website will give you a foundation and common point of reference for speaking with us. You will learn a lot about products, applications and other information.  It will bring your line of questioning to a higher level and actually save you time.

2. You may be able to narrow your product options and ask us more focused questions about your project.
Check Out Our FAQ Section.

3. If you can identify a product that you think may do the job for you, read the technical bulletin for that product.  Technical bulletins are loaded with information that will answer many of your questions or help you
better understand a technician when you call.

We're Happy To Help, But Please . . .

At any given time, there are a dozen people behind you waiting for technical assistance.  Our goal is to maximize everyone's technical help experience, so please:

do not ask us to hold while you take another phone call, answer the door, feed the dog, etc.

don't be offended if we ask you to call back after you have had a chance to experience our website.  You'll get the most out of your tech call if you browse our website at your leisure, develop a list of questions about your project and then call us.

We want to maximize everyone's technical help call experience and look forward to assisting you.   Call us toll free at 800-762-0744 or at 610-252-5800.

Technical Assistance Policy

Our technical help line receives many calls daily.  We find that people often have the wrong impression as to just what our responsibilities are in offering this assistance, and want to be very clear about what you should and should not expect from us.

Our liquid rubbers, plastics, foams and other materials are purchased by many people around the world to be used for many different types of applications.

Discussing your project and objectives and then recommending the material or combination of materials that we think will do the job for you is the best we can do in offering technical advice.

We can never guarantee or warranty that any Smooth-On product will work for your specific application for the simple reason that, in using these materials, there is a lot that can go wrong that is not material related.

We have no control over the many processing variables associated with working with these materials such as aptitude of the user (experience and ability) and processing conditions (such as environment, and many others).

Beginners especially have a high rate of “first time” failure due to inexperience with these materials and mold making/casting in general. Smooth-On is responsible for the quality of the material that you buy, not the inexperience of the individual using the material.

We want you to be successful every time! Your best defense against product failure if you are new to mold making and casting is to read the technical bulletin for the product you are using and follow directions carefully.

You can also consult our “How To Make Molds and Castings” handbook and view our award winning
“how to” videos.

Ready to Try These Materials For the First Time?

Start Small!  If you are new to using these materials or new to mold making and casting, we recommend that
you try these products on a small project before "scaling up" to a larger or more complicated project.  Our SuperSamplers offer a great value for first-time users.
