Kenney Palkow of Kenny's Custom Props, Catasauqua, PA, used Smooth-Sil® 950
and TASK® 2 to create this customer movie prop. It was crucial that a material
with extremely high dimensional stability be used to make the mold as the parts are
assembled.
TASK 2 resin was used to cast the weapon. It was chosen for its low shrinkage and
excellent impact resistance.
This was a piece constructed under very low tolerances, and Smooth-Sil 950's hardnss
and extreme dimensional ability performed flawlessly.
Smooth-SilŪ 950's high dimensional stability produces an extremely accurate mold.
