Product Description

Mold Max™ 29NV

Mold Max™ 29NV is a Shore 29A tin-catalyzed silicone mold rubber that offers low viscosity, fast cure and long library life.
Mold Max™ 29NV does not require vacuum degassing. Mix ratio is 100A:10B by weight. Working time is 45 minutes and cure time is 6 hours at room temperature.
Mold Max™ 29NV will reproduce the finest detail and is suitable for a variety of industrial and art related applications including making molds for reproducing prototypes, furniture, sculpture and architectural elements. Cure time can be reduced with Accel-T™ cure accelerator. Mold Max™ 29NV can be used to cast a variety of materials including wax, gypsum, low melt alloys/metals and urethane, epoxy or polyester resins.  Important: Do not cast concrete into rubber molds made with this product. Concrete will not cure properly and inhibition will result.

Important; you must weigh Part A & B components using a gram scale to be successful with Mold Max™ 29NV.

Smooth‑Sil™ 940

Smooth-On Smooth-Sil™ Platinum Silicones cure at room temperature with negligible shrinkage. With different hardnesses to choose from, Smooth-Sil™ products offer tremendous versatility and are suitable for making production molds of any configuration, large or small. These silicones exhibit good chemical, abrasion and heat resistance. Materials such as plasters, concrete, wax, low-melt metal alloys or resins (urethane, epoxy or polyester) can then be cast into these silicone rubbers without a release agent.

Smooth-Sil™ Platinum Silicones are used for rapid prototyping, wax casting (foundries and candle makers), architectural restoration and for casting concrete. Smooth-Sil™ 940 is suitable for food related applications.
