Ski Dubai Ice Dragon Display Created with Crystal Clear® Resin

Ski Dubai is a winter wonderland located in the sun-baked desert of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The cavernous 32,290-square-foot (2,999.7 sq. m) indoor ski resort offers five downhill ski runs varying in difficulty–including a black diamond run, 1,312 feet (399.9 m) long with a 196.85 foot (60 m) fall, a cross-county trail, a 295.2- foot (90 m) quarter-pipe for snowboarders, and a quad chairlift.

This amazing $275 million icy oasis boasts the world's largest indoor snow park. At 9,842-square feet (914.3 sq. m), it offers tobogganing hills, a twin track bobsled run, a snowball throwing gallery and a snow cavern that houses an immense ice dragon. While the exterior temperature in Dubai reaches 135° Fahrenheit (57.2°C), the indoor ski area remains a constant frigid 28° Fahrenheit (2.2°C). Two feet of snow pack lies underneath a layer of fresh powder that is replenished nightly by snow guns that create perfect snow every time.

Ski Dubai's Ice Dragon Display was created using Crystal Clear® resin poured into Mold Max®silicone molds by REDHOT Dubai. This monolithic undertaking won the 13th Thea Award for Outstanding Achievement.
