How To Make a Foam Prop Sword Using a Silicone 2 Part Mold

Overview

In this DIY video, a unique 3D printed master is used to pour a Mold Star 30 silicone mold.  The 3D printed master is coated with XTC-3D to fill any ridges from printing.  After the XTC-3D cures, the silicone is poured into the box to produce a perfect negative.

Urecoat is combined with pigments and prished into the mold to provide a strong, intrinsically colored coating.  Flex Foam iT! 15 is pigmented and poured into the mold to produce the final casting.
